Pat Tobin, a native Sudburian, attended Laurentian University where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a concentration in Sociology and Native Studies. She also holds a Master of Social Work degree from Carleton University.
Pat brings 30 years of experience to her practice and has worked with diverse groups of people in a variety of settings. Recognition of her work includes:
2005 OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT awarded by Laurentian University’s Presidential Advisory Committee on the Status of Women in recognition of outstanding achievement in working with women’s issues as they relate to equality, social justice and human sexuality.
2003 Recipient of the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal awarded to people for their “significant contribution to Canada, to their community or to their fellow Canadians” , presented to Ms. Tobin in her capacity as President of YWCA Genevra House
1996 PATRON OF HONOUR, awarded by Community Counselling Centre of Nipissing in recognition of employee professional contributions from 1990 to 1995 and dedication to strengthening the ability of individuals and families in the district of Nipissing to realize their full potential.
